Topping up the reserves after best-ever financial year...

Cricket Scotland has posted a surplus of £135,000 for 2009, on a turnover of £1.88 million, its best-ever financial year. It also donated £35,000 to the Cricket Scotland Development Trust, and expanded its impressive community development programme.

Development Officer recruitment

Perth and Kinross Leisure are advertising for a Cricket Development Officer for Perth and Kinross. The post, funded through partnership between Perth and Kinross Leisure, Gannochy Trust and Cricket Scotland, is a full-time role and is key to developing the sport in the area.  Steve Paige, Cricket Scotland's head of community development, commented:  “We’ve had a number of enquiries regarding the post even before it was advertised, so we’re anticipating a good number of high quality candidates”.  The closing date for applications is 12 March with interviews scheduled for 25 March.
