Scotland's Regional Series: Eastern Knights planning a late charge

The Eastern Knights are hoping to kick-start a late charge for the Regional title when they host the Highlanders at Myreside this Sunday (June 26). This weekend’s clash is the second of the Twenty20 double-headers of this year’s Regional Series.

The new format for 2011 sees two T20 matches played in a day, with the first game starting at 12 noon and the second at 3.30pm. The Knights will be hoping for a double win day to close the five-point gap opened up by the Highlanders and Warriors who sit jointly at the top of the table.

The Knights have added experienced Carlton keeper Jamie Kerr to their squad for the T20 phase and have also called up Grange left arm spinner Andrew Brock to add to the spin complement. The Highlanders remain unchanged from the squad which shared the spoils with the Warriors a fortnight ago at Mannofield.
