Tony was a corporate lawyer before joining Bank of Scotland in a succession of Head Office roles. He subsequently worked in Italy and Jersey before returning to Scotland to specialise in risk management and governance for the bank and its successors; he retired in 2011. Tony then became Chair of the Court of Glasgow Caledonian University (having been on the Court since 2003) retiring in February 2015. He has been a director of over 20 companies, both in the UK and overseas. In June 2018 Tony was elected as an Associate Member Director of the International Cricket Council.
A life-long club cricketer (he still plays, though he shouldn’t!) Tony became Chair of Cricket Scotland in March 2015. He is married to Sally (for much longer than she cares to remember!) and has three children and one grandchild.
