ZAYED CRICKET STADIUM, ABU DHABI

Zayed Cricket Stadium was inaugurated in May 2004. It staged its first first-class match in November 2004 between Scotland and Kenya in the ICC Intercontinental Cup.

Two large grass bank stands are the highlights of this grand stadium which provides a perfect setting for fans to view the game. The city centre is about 30 minutes from the stadium.

The first T20I at the venue was between Scotland and Afghanistan in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier in 2010.

Zayed Cricket Stadium has hosted a total of 24 Twenty20 matches, of which six have been international matches. In all 14 matches have been won batting first and 10 batting second 18 teams have chosen to bat and six to bowl The average first-innings score is 142

SHARJAH CRICKET STADIUM, SHARJAH

The Sharjah Cricket Stadium, is the oldest venue in the United Arab Emirates. The first ODI at the venue was hosted during the 1984 Asia Cup.

The venue has thus far hosted a world record of 210 ODIs. Apart from that five Tests have also been staged at the venue. A total of four Twenty20 Internationals have also been held here.

Floodlights were installed at the venue in 1997 and it now has a seating capacity of 27,000.

Sharjah Cricket Stadium has hosted a total of 20 Twenty20 matches, of which three have been international matches. In all 11 matches have been won batting first and nine batting second. After winning the toss, 14 teams have chosen to bat and six to bowl. The average first-innings score is 138.

ICC ACADEMY OVAL 1, DUBAI

The ICC Academy provides state-of-the-art facilities with indoor and outdoor pitches, complemented by the latest technology to allow coaches to assess all areas of a player’s game.

ICC Academy Oval 1 has hosted a total of 18 Twenty20 matches, of which five have been international matches. In all nine matches have been won batting first and nine batting second. After winning the toss 16 teams have chosen to bat and just two to bowl. The average first-innings score is 144.

ICC ACADEMY OVAL 2, DUBAI

The ICC Academy provides state-of-the-art facilities with indoor and outdoor pitches, complemented by the latest technology to allow coaches to assess all areas of a player’s game.

ICC Academy Oval 2 has hosted a total of 16 Twenty20 matches. In all 11 matches have been won batting first and five batting second. After winning the toss 14 teams have chosen to bat and just two to bowl. The average first-innings score is 155.
