A sparkling innings from Scotland's Kyle Coetzer helped fire Scotland to a 37-run victory over Hong Kong which levelled the Twenty20 international series at 1-1.

After Hong Kong had defeated Scotland by nine wickets in a weather-affected first fixture on Saturday,  Coetzer’s 70 from 40 balls ensured tthe Scots would come away with even spoils from the two-game series.

Coetzer struck six sixes and five fours in a decisive innings after fellow opener George Munsey went early on.

Matthew Cross (27) provided support while a quick-fire 11 from Mark Watt saw Scotland conclude on 161 for nine.

Hong Kong got off to a awful start, and found themselves on 7/4 before Tanwir Afzal (56) provided a glimmer of hope for the hosts with some expolsive hitting - taking one over for 30 runs.

It proved to be too late, though, as Bradley Wheal and Richie Berrington took three wickets apiece to bowl Hong Kong out for 124.
