It is an exciting time for cricket in East Lothian and in partnership with Cricket Scotland and East Lothian Council, enjoyleisure are looking to appoint a new Cricket Development fixed term period. The role is responsible for the number of people accessing cricket opportunities across the county and for the ongoing development of East Lothian County Club. The post holder will work with local school and clubs and provide quality cricket opportunities and deliver a number of events and competitions. In addition, the role is responsible for providing quality coach education opportunities in cricket locally and supporting the development of a quality player pathway. the successful post holder will have enthusiasm for the sport, demonstrate previous experience in developing cricket as well as being organised and possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This vacancy is advertised on behalf of enjoyleisure, part of Enjoy East Lothian Ltd, a charitable organisation which delivers services for East Lothian Council.
The Cricket Development Officer will work as part of a sport specific team to increase the number of people playing cricket and improve the quality of cricket provision across the authority. The post holder will be responsible for delivering the outcomes set in the Cricket Development Plan.

Cricket Coaching Award (UKCC2) and be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
