Development XI squad v Yorkshire Academy
The Scotland Development XI’s busy season continues with a trip to Wheetwood Hall where they will play Yorkshire Academy in a 3 day fixture.
There has been a number of changes to the squad that featured in the excellent 6 wicket win against Nothants second string at the County Ground last month.
Former U19 Scotland and Cambridge Blues captain Paddy Sadler will lead the U23 side.
Simon Whait is included in the squad and is expected to make his senior representative debut. The 16 year-old pupil from Loretto School has played for the Scotland U15s and U17s during the past two seasons.
There is also a spot for Scotland’s U19 captain Ross McLean after steering his side to the 2014 ICC World Cup after finishing their qualifying campaign undefeated in Holland last week.
Mark Watt who also impressed for the U19s in Holland has made the trip, while Scotland contracted player Safyaan Sharif continues his return to fitness.
