Highlanders v Warriors - CS T20 Blitz

09 Jun
Tom Bruce will aim to take out his frustrations on the Highlanders today after his unfortunate experience at Ayr.

The recruit from New Zealand - who qualifies to wear the thistle badge through his Edinburgh-born dad - lines up for the Warriors at Forthill as they bid to complete a quickfire double over the men from the north.

And he will be keen to move on positively in the T20 Blitz showdown following his tough time at New Cambusdoon over the past three days.

Bruce had been batting superbly for Scotland A as they attempted to challenge Ireland A’s huge first innings total, only to be needlessly run out for 70.

Then, as the hosts were battling to save the contest, he was dismissed for just a single in the second dig.

The visitors will be buoyed by the memory of their recent hammering of the Highlanders in the Pro50 Cup at the same venue.

Another high profile player who will be eager to shine is former Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer, who is included in the home line-up.

Coetzer has been struggling to find the big-scoring touch at his new club, Benwell Hill, in Newcastle, where he was appointed player-coach.
