Independent Schools T20 Final - Fettes v Stewart’s Melville College

Cricket Scotland are pleased to support the Independent Schools T20 Cricket Competition that culminates in an exciting final on Friday 10th June at Goldenacre. 

The final pits two Edinburgh schools – Fettes College and Stewart`s Melville College – against each other in what should be a cracking match.

How they got there  

Fettes College reached the finals by initially beating Edinburgh Academy by 79 runs and then Heriots by 143 runs at the start of the season in the pre-qualification tournament at Fettes. They then went on to beat Glenalmond College by 16 runs in a closely fought semi-final at the end of April. 

Stewart’s Melville College journey to the finals saw them beat  Kelvinside Academy by 187 runs and Strathallan School  by 3 wickets at the start of the season in their pre-qualification tournament. The semi-final between Stewart’s Melville College and Loretto School was played in middle of May with Stewart’s Melville College securing a 54 run victory and a place in the final.

 Friday 10th June @ Goldenacre, 5pm start

Umpires: Bruce Dixon and Sandy Scotland 

We hope as many people will get down to Goldenacre to support the two teams on Friday night and see our best schoolboy cricket teams in action.
