IOG Foundation Parts ‘A’ and ‘B’
Cricket Scotland will be hosting the Institute of Groundsmanship Foundation courses Parts A and B in 2014, in partnership with Aberdeenshire Cricket Club and Stirling County Cricket Club.
Details of the courses are below. The costs to candidates are £50.00 for a member of a cricket club registered with Cricket Scotland on the TopClub programme / member of the IOG, and £150.00 for all other candidates.
Course – IOG Foundation Part ‘B’ – Autumn Renovation
Venue – Stirling County Cricket Club
Date – Sunday 14th September 2014
Times - 10.00am – 4.00pm
Tea / coffee and light lunch will be provided
Please bring warm / water proof clothes / suitable footwear for working with machinery
These courses give a practical approach to the preparation and maintenance of a cricket square. The foundation level qualification is essential for all cricket groundsmen, as it gives practical information on the most up to date techniques associated with preparing and maintaining a cricket surface. Logically, the part ‘A’ course covers the important work that is required during pre-season and in the summer. Part ‘B’ covers the end of season renovations and essential autumn work.
