National Club Under 15 Qualifying Cup - 2014

The semi-finals and Final of the National Club Championship Under 15 Qualifying Cup took place at Merchiston Castle School on Sunday 22 June 2014.

The first semi-final was between Grange and Clydesdale. Grange batted first and were all out for 115 with G Connor top scoring with 39 runs and A Sadiq taking 3 wickets for 10 runs. In reply, Clydesdale only managed 83 for 9 wickets with K Dhami top score of 37 runs.

The second semi-final was between Carlton and Kinross-shire. Carlton totalled 111 all out with Tom Simpson top score on 36. Kinross-shire scored 63 all out in reply with Saif Khan taking 3 wickets for 16 runs.

Kinross-shire gained some consolation by beating Clydesdale in the 3rd/4th play-off, scoring 112 for 4 in reply to Clydesdale’s 111 for 8.

The final saw Grange dismissed for just 53 with Calum Everett the hero with 4 for 9, supported by Tristram Holden (3 for 4) There was to be no easy victory though after a clatter of early wickets in the Carlton reply of 54 for 6 wickets.

Congratulations tom Carlton who go on to play the winners of the Durham Region in Round 1 on the national stage of the Cup.
