Ross Brooks appointed as Senior Operations Manager
Cricket Scotland is delighted to announce the appointment of Ross Brooks as our new Senior Operations Manager.
Brooks (36), currently the General Manager of Gibraltar Cricket, is well known in the Scottish cricketing community following his time as the lead volunteer for Watsonian CC during a period of extensive off field growth and on field success for the club.
Brooks will take up his post in late July and will be responsible for all cricket operations and the planning and delivery of the ever increasing fixture lists for all national age group and senior sides, as well as the Highlanders and Reivers Pro teams.
Commenting on the appointment, Roddy Smith Cricket Scotland Chief Executive stated, ‘We have been fortunate to have recruited someone of Ross’s calibre for this vital role. With a heavy domestic and international programme, not to mention a world cup less than nine months away, this is a key appointment for us. Ross’s previous work experience in Scotland, his excellent working knowledge of the Scottish cricket scene and his most recent administrative role in Gibraltar give him the ability to hit the ground running when he joins us in late July. We look forward to welcoming him to the staff.
Brooks added 'I am thrilled to have been given this opportunity and I am very much looking forward to the challenges ahead. I have thoroughly enjoyed my two years with Gibraltar Cricket but I am excited at coming home to help play a part in what is an extremely busy period for Scottish Cricket.'
