Saltires to face Essex
The Scottish Saltires squad has been selected for the first home Yorkshire Bank 40 fixture of the 2013 season against Essex at the Grange in Edinburgh this Sunday (12 May).
There is only one change to the team that featured in the tight encounter with 2012 Champions Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl last weekend, with Dewald Nel pulling on a Saltire jersey for the first time since the Friends Provident Trophy match against Somerset in 2009 in place of Gordon Goudie.
Preston Mommsen will again lead the team for his second match as interim captain, and will be looking to put in another impressive performance on the back of his unbeaten 60 against Hampshire last weekend.
Matt Machan will again be available for selection should he not be picked for his county side, Sussex, for their either of their two YB40 fixture on Friday or Saturday against Northants and Warwickshire respectively.
This will be the final fixture before the Scotland squad is selected to face Pakistan next weekend (17/19 May).
The match starts at 1:45pm with tickets priced at £15 Adult, £10 Concession and £5 Children (U16) available at the gate.
