Saltires squad for YB40 double header

23 May

Scottish Saltires

Cricket Scotland has announced their 13 man squad for the upcoming double header against Derbyshire on Sunday and Surrey on Monday at the Grange, Edinburgh.

There is only one change from the squad that played Essex at the Grange a few weeks ago, with Paddy Sadler missing out as Gordon Goudie returns to full fitness.

Saltire captain Preston Mommsen will be looking to build on his impressive start to the season, as his team hope to record their first Yorkshire Bank 40 win of 2013.

Scottish youngsters Freddie Coleman and Michael Leask will be hoping to enhance their reputation following notable displays against Essex.

Coach Pete Steindl commented, “It’s pleasing that Gordon Goudie has re-joined the squad after recovering from injury.  The Saltires are looking forward to resuming their YB40 campaign with these two matches.

It will give the players who missed out on a place in the Scotland squad against Pakistan to press their case for full representative honours later in the summer.”
