Scotland 'A' travel to face Durham 2XI

13 Apr

Scotland ‘A’ will get their 2017 season underway next week with a three-day fixture against Durham 2nd XI at the Emirates Riverside, starting on Wednesday 19th April.

Captained by the experienced Kyle Coetzer, the side will get its first run out with several full internationalists, Performance squad and former Under 19 players in the ranks.

Alasdair Evans makes his return to the Scotland set-up after an MCC tour of Mexico and Belize earlier this month.

Head Coach Grant Bradburn is looking forward to the season opener. “There is a strong look to the ‘A’ squad for this game against Durham, which is always a tough encounter for us first up.

“This will be the first match of the season on the back of an excellent winter training phase, which culminated in a tough boot camp in La Manga. Depth continues to grow in the wider squad, with solid competition for selection.”

Scotland ‘A’ to face Durham 2nd XI:

Kyle Coetzer (Captain), Dylan Budge, Scott Cameron, Harris Carnegie, Michael English, Alasdair Evans, Michael Jones, George Munsey, Adrian Neill, Safyaan Sharif, Tom Sole, Mark Watt.
