Scotland A squad to Scarborough

Yorkshire CCScotland have announced their A squad traveling to Scarborough for a three day fixture (24, 25 & 26 June) against Yorkshire’s second string.  

Preston Mommsen will captain the side, which sees talented Scotland U19 spinner Mark Watt included in the squad. Iain Wardlaw will spearhead the bowling attack against his former club. 

Michael Leask will be looking to continue his excellent start to the season with runs and wickets,Craig Wallace has broken his thumb and will be replaced 17 year old Simon Whait. 

Majid Haq will also miss out due to injury with Hamza Tahir, Haq's cousin, taking his spot. 

Matthew Parker has replaced Mark Watt (injured) for the A team trip.  Selected on the back of runs in club cricket and the North Sea Pro-Series.  

Coach Craig Wright commented, “It’s a good opportunity for the players who will be involved in the Netherlands games to get some important game-time under their belts, and for the others to put their names in the frame for the matches later in the summer.”
