Scotland team up with Glory Days Tours

07 Mar

With Scotland having secured qualification for the ICC 2015 Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, many Scottish cricket supporters have started to look ahead to the event and contemplate a trip of a lifetime to support the team.

Cricket Scotland has today agreed a partnership with Glory Days, a well-established sports travel operator with bases in both Edinburgh and the Gold Coast, to offer supporters tours to follow the team throughout the event.

Glory Days has extensive experience in cricket having taken supporter tours to the Ashes in Australia, as well as working in partnership with Cricket Australia to look after incoming Ashes tours.

The packages on offer will give the traveller options across all of Scotland’s six group games.  With the first game against New Zealand on Tuesday 17th February 2015 and the final group game against Australia on the 14th March 2015. With the group stages lasting for nearly a full month packages will be offered for 2, 3, 4 or all 6 games.  These packages will cover from 6 to 28 days in duration.

For supporters who would like to follow the tournament all the way to the final in Melbourne on the 29th March 2015, this can be arranged.

The tours can include all flights, accommodation and match tickets, tours and excursions on non-match days, as well as receptions and social events with the Scotland squad during the tournament. Glory Days will also have some flexible options for the more independent traveller.

At present, Cricket Scotland, Glory Days and the ICC Travel Department are working together to finalise the packages and we hope to be able to have itineraries and prices available by the 17 March 2014.

At present we would be grateful if anyone considering a supporters tour would like to note their interest to Glory Days by emailing them at info@glorydays.uk.com or phoning on 0131 556 3840.
