Scotland A travel to Blackpool CC

31 Aug

Scotland A will travel to Lancashire next week to take on their second team at Blackpool CC for the second consecutive year, starting 1-3 September.

Preston Mommsen will lead a side filled with international experience as the preparations ahead of the Intercontinental Cup and World Cricket League Championship matches against the Netherlands builds momentum.

There are places for Durham Academy’s all-rounder Dylan Budge and leg-spinner Harris Aslam after both turned in impressive performances against a MCC side at Titwood in August.

Head Coach Grant Bradburn said ahead of the squad’s departure on Monday, “This game will be a good test for this squad ahead of our Holland tour in early September.

We know Lancashire will provide some strong opposition, as we had a good battle with them last year at the picturesque Blackpool ground.

Squad: Preston Mommsen (Capt), Hamish Gardiner, Kyle Coetzer, Dylan Budge, Richie Berrington, Matthew Cross, Craig Wallace, Michael Leask, Safyaan Sharif, Mark Watt, Ali Evans, Harris Aslam
