Scotland U19s to face Ireland in Ayr

23 Jul

Scotland’s 13 man squad to face Ireland U19s for next week’s ICC Europe Challenge Series in Ayr has been announced.

The squad includes five players who featured in the recent ICC U19 World Cup last February, with Mark Watt and Captain Andrew Umeed going on to feature in various Scotland ‘A’ matches this season.

The two teams will contest two 50 over fixtures (29th, 30th July) before finishing with a T20 match on Thursday 31st July. All the matches will start at 11am at Cambusdoon, Ayr.

Ahead of the series U19 Coach, Steve Knox said, “After two wash outs and a poor batting performance in the T20 chasing 147 on a small ground in Holland we’re really keen to get three solid days of cricket in and allow this group to finish their under-age representative careers on a high.”
