Scotland XI 165/6 (20 overs), Machan 53, Mommsen 25, Trivedi 3/30, lost to Cricket Club of India 166/4 (19 overs), Singh 70, Watt 1/26, Taylor 1/22, Leask 1/25 by 6 wickets.

Scotland lost their final unofficial warm up match on Monday night against the Cricket Club of India in Mumbai.

Electing to bat first Kyle Coetzer (15), Calum MacLeod (16) and Matthew Cross (18) all reached double figures to take the score to 55/4 after Berrington had fallen for a duck.

Matt Machan then displayed his stroke-making abilities with a much needed half century from just 37 deliveries to take the score past 100.

The Sussex batsmen remained unbeaten on 53, with handy interventions from captain Preston Mommsen, adding 25 runs from 26 balls, and Con de Lange, 16 runs from 8 deliveries, would see Scotland finish on 165/6.

In reply Paul Valthaty and Adnand Singh started well for the home side, putting on 46 before Valthaty was dismissed by Gavin Main, caught by Coetzer for 21.

Nikhil Patil then joined Singh as the pair moved their teams score to 125. Patil did depart for 34 but Singh remained unperturbed as he took his side to the brink of victory with 70 runs from 40 balls.

Rob Taylor grabbed a quick caught and bowled but Sharma would finish the match with an unbeaten 10, as the home side claimed a 6 wicket win with an over to spare.

Scotland will now play their first official warm up fixture in Mohali on Friday against Oman.
