After securing promotion from Division Two, this year’s Friends Life t20 Champions can celebrate one of the most memorable seasons of the club’s history.

Both Murphy and Coetzer have played key roles throughout the season for the Steelbacks and helped transform the fortunes of a club who finished last season second bottom in Division 2 and only two limited-over scalps under their belt.

Coetzer was honoured with his county cap by the Northamptonshire club, although a wrist ligament injury did mean his season came to a slightly premature end. He did however manage to amass over 500 first class runs in Division 2 with an average just under 40, including a double century against Leicestershire, taking him towards 4,000 first class career runs.

David Murphy is all but assured of finishing with the most dismissals in the division with 55 in total, which included 51 catches and 4 stumpings.

Ruaidhri Smith is progressing well with his cricketing education at Glamorgan after being named in the squad for the Yorkshire Bank 40 Final with some solid performances in the multi-day format.

In his most recent game against Gloucestershire he claimed figures of 9-2-37-2 and 39 in their final county game of the season.
