Steven Bond - Victoria CC

27 Mar

We are shocked to hear of the sudden death of Steven Bond of Victoria CC.

Steven passed away at the age of only 51, apparently of natural causes, on Wednesday morning, literally hours after being in contact with WDCU officials planning for the season ahead, where he had been instrumental in the progress of Victoria CC, of whom he had been a member for two decades.

He was an extremely affable, likeable, pragmatic and sensible man, his loss will be felt hard at Victoria and in the WDCU.  Steven had also just completed the Level One umpiring course and had passed with flying colours.

We send the condolences of all clubs and members of the Western District Cricket Union to Victoria CC, his friend Jon Barnes and to his family at this incredibly sad time.
