A Team play Gloucestershire and Somerset

21 Aug

The selectors have announced their Scotland A squad to travel south next week for encounters against Gloucestershire and Somerset’s second elevens.

The squad will contest a one day game against Somerset on Monday at Taunton Vale CC, followed by a three day game against Gloucestershire at the County Ground from Tuesday 1st September.

Craig Wallace will captain the young Scots, with full internationalists, Michael Leask, Oli Hairs and Hamish Gardiner and Alasdair Evans in their ranks.

Coach Craig Wright said ahead of the trip, "The games next week provide us with 4 days of quality cricket against good opposition at good facilities. It is a chance for some younger players to gain more experience at a higher level and for some of our contracted players to get some extra cricket under their belts as we build towards the one day and four day matches against the Netherlands in September".

Scotland A Squad:

Oli Hairs, Alasdair Evans, Hamish Gardiner, Michael English, Michael Leask, Craig Wallace, Adrian Neill, Haris Aslam, Jack Waller, Abdul Sabri, Hamza Tahir, Ithisham Malik.
