Wildcats Pre-Season Friendly v Durham

17 Apr

Scotland women will kick off their season with two matches against Durham at Stirling Cricket Club on April 27.

Both matches will be 40 overs and will give the opportunity for players to stake a claim for a senior spot ahead of the first ECB Championship match of the season, against Northamptonshire on May 4.

Women’s cricket manager, Kari Carwell, said "Both squads are looking forward to the fixtures against Durham on the 27th April.  It will give us a good challenge before we get our ECB County Championship season underway.  2014 is a busy season so I'm delighted that Durham have agreed to come up and open our season.  The development fixture is something I'm keen to push as the more competition we have for places in the squad the better for women's cricket in Scotland.  As long as the temperature picks up a little bit it should be a great day!"

Teams for the two games:

Development XI
Kathryn Bryce - Capt, Emily Francis, Lisa Thomson, Rebecca Waldie, Louise Kirk, Jen Scully, Georgia Henderson, Sarah Bryce, Hannah Rainey, Katie McGill, Lily Steindl, Caitlin Ormiston, Rosy Ryan.

Senior XI
Abbi Aitken – Capt, Annette Drummond, Abtaha Maqsood, Olivia Rae, Charlotte Bascombe, Kari Anderson, Kathryn White, Kirsty Strachan, Lois Wilkinson, Lorna Jack, Ruth Willis.
