04 Sep

Carlton cricket women's team won the Scottish CupNew Cambusdoon, Ayr will play host to the final of the Women’s Scottish Cup on Sunday 6 September as Carlton CC look to defend the trophy they won in 2014 after beating Ayr CC in the Final.

This is the fifth Year of the Women’s Scottish Cup and is a 20 over competition that sees club teams mix youth with experience.

This year will also see Carlton meet Ayr, although this year it will be at the semi-final stage at 10am, with George Watson’s College awaiting the winners.

Kari Carswell is looking forward to the day “The Scottish Cup Final is always a great day in the Women’s domestic Calendar.  It is one of two trophies that the teams play for and it’s our oldest competition!  Ayr always do a fantastic job at hosting the day, and fingers crossed the weather is kind to us again.  There will be some fantastic cricketers on show teams so I’m hoping for some top quality fixtures”.
