The National Emerging Schools’ Cup provides the opportunity for schools to take part in a non-traditional version of the sport.  Initially devised to provide a cricket for S1-3 pupils at schools which had little, or no, tradition of playing cricket, the 8-a-side, softball format has proved very popular.  Year-on-year the number of schools entering the Regional Qualifying Events has grown – with 2015 set to see yet another record number of entries across the country.

 The 2015 Competition

Cricket Scotland is delighted that Cricket Factory continues to lend its support to the National Emerging Schools’ Cup – with the 2015 event being called the Cricket Factory Schools’ Cup.

As with previous years, there will be regional qualifying events – with each winner progressing to Finals Day.  Finals Day will take place on Thursday 18th June and will see four schools compete to become Cricket Factory Cup Winners.
