After a 74-run defeat to Thailand in the opening fixture of the women’s T20I quadrangular series, Scotland fought back to secure a 5-run DLS win over Netherlands at a damp and drizzly Salland Cricket Club.

Winning the toss and batting first, Netherlands posted 86/6 after 16 overs with Robine Rijke hitting 39 (35) and Iris Zwilling contributing with 16 not out.

Katherine Fraser, Scotland’s latest debutant at 14 years old, was the pick of the bowlers – taking three wickets from her four overs and conceding 17 runs in the process.

Abbi Aitken-Drummond contributed with 1/9 from her two, with Sam Haggo (1/10) and Katie McGill (1/16) also taking a wicket each.

In reply, Lorna Jack (28* from 26) and Sarah Bryce (8*) combined at the top of the order to boost Scotland to 41/0 after seven to pick up the 5-run DLS win.
