Scotland took part in the 2010 World Twenty20 Championship qualifier in Dubai/Abu Dhabi in February 2010. Two of the eight participating countries qualified for the main event in the Caribbean. Before the qualifier, Scotland, Kenya and Uganda played a tri-series in Nairobi, details shown below.
- 30 January: Kenya defeated Uganda by eight wickets [scorecard]
- 31 January: Scotland 109-8 defeated Uganda 109 all out after one-over eliminator. [scorecard]
