Dylan Budge has been called up to the Scotland squad for the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in the UAE, replacing fellow Eastern Knights and Grange teammate Oliver Hairs.
Hairs was struck on the right foot while batting during Thursday’s 46-run win over Bermuda, and subsequent x-rays revealed a fracture to his fifth metatarsal.
Budge, who has earned 9 caps since his debut against Sri Lanka in May 2019, has enjoyed a bumper year with the bat, amassing over 1,300 runs in Scotland A, Pro Series and club cricket.
Dylan Budge arrived into Dubai on Sunday 27th October and the replacement was approved by ICC during Scotland vs. Netherlands at Dubai International Stadium.
