For the winter/summer 2026/27 programme, Cricket Scotland Regional Trials will continue to use the online video process, in partnership with Fulltrack, to improve the accessibility for aspiring young cricketers to enter the Performance Pathway.
Through this process schools, clubs and players are invited to self nominate themselves by completing the application and uploading videos - facilitating greater opportunities to be identified and allow coaches increased time per player to make informed decisions with a desire to remove potential bias.

The programme operates three (4 training centres) regions – Caledonian Highlanders North & South, Eastern Knights and Western Warriors.
Each region operate a Boys' Under 15s and Under 17s team, and there are two Girls teams across the Under 16 and Under 18 age groups (Eagles and Stormers).
Our regional programmes are open to players who live in Scotland and play their club and/or school cricket within Scotland.

Players who are already in a regional squad do not need to submit videos.
The nomination process will be open to anyone who matches the entry/eligibility criteria above. Clubs and players are invited to self-nominate themselves by completing the application and uploading videos via Whatsapp by messaging "Hi" to +44 7882 764581. More information is available in the information pack below.
The deadline for nominations will be 5pm on Monday 31 August 2026. Our coaches will review submissions during the week of 1 - 4 September 2026. After this point, players will be notified if they have been invited for further assessment, should they wish to continue. All unsuccessful applicants will be provided feedback on areas to develop. Face-to-face trials will take place at various locations across Scotland from the 1 - 19 October. Further trial information will be communicated to successful applicants
