During the sunny weather in the heart of the cricket season a number of domestic youth cup finals have been taking place across Scotland.

Grange made their way through the Vitality U15 T20 competition fending off Arbroath United in the semi-finals before meeting Clydesdale in a cracking final.

Batting first, Clydesdale posted 99 for 8 with a great contribution of 30 from Zulfiqar. Grange batted very consistently and reached the target in 10.4 balls following impressive contributions from Mackintosh 50* and Jarvis 32*.

Grange will now progress into the National stage of the competition after their victory.

In the U13s Vitality Cup it was to be Carlton’s year as they proved too strong for Grange in the final of the 2018 Scottish edition.

Johnson led the way in the final as he retired after scoring 33, with Carlton going on to post 132/7. The Carlton bowlers then put in an impressive showing to bowl Grange out for 35, as Adair claimed 3/8 as his side won by 97 runs.
