The Christmas edition of The Wee Bash took place on Sunday at the North Inch Community Campus in Perth. Seven teams attended, including another new entry Meigle CC as well as a young Stew Mel Royals team, last month’s winners Galloway CC and Stirfries: a combined team made up of Stirling and Dumfries players.

A full round robin was played after which Stirling CCC were the only team unbeaten. Edinburgh South, Meigle and Carlton found themselves in an exciting bowl off to decide who would face Stirling CCC in the final and it was won by the in-form team Edinburgh South.
The experienced Stirling County team proved too strong for Edinburgh South in the final, securing their first Wee Bash trophy of the series.

An additional prize was awarded to the most Christmassy team, well-deserved by winners Stirling County CC. And to top the day off, Santa visited, making himself useful as umpire!

We look forward to seeing everyone at the next Wee Bash in January. If you haven’t already, please like our Facebook page and finally from The Wee Bash team at Cricket Scotland: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
