Colin McDougall, Cricket Scotland’s Child Wellbeing and Protection Officer, has been appointed to the International Cricket Council’s Safeguarding Group.
The group is responsible for protecting the wellbeing of participants in cricket at the international level and at ICC events. It has a remit to make enquires into instances of abuse and to conduct hearings pursuant to the ICC’s Safeguarding regulations.
The appointment follows on from crucial work undertaken by Colin to overhaul the Cricket Scotland Child Protection procedures at both national and club level.
Colin is well known in the area through his provision of Child Protection training for sports clubs in and outwith of cricket.
Aside from his profession, Colin has been a lifelong member of Greenock Cricket Club.
