Building on our #muchmorethancricket Club Forum on Saturday 24th March, Cricket Scotland are pleased to also offer our hugely exciting `Coaches Forum 2018` on Sunday 25th March.

A significant part of club development and our ability to attract, retain and develop people of all levels, revolves around the quality of coaching provision we offer.

This event is all about how we can continue to develop and experiment with our coaching, not just the technical skills, but the whole athlete and how coaching can help cricket clubs become that `hub` for their local community.

“This is not just a forum focusing on the top end, technical input. It is a forum which focuses on best practice and provides thoughts, tools and advice to assist coaches in delivering quality experiences across a range of athletes. Experts in their fields will share their knowledge, ideas and practical examples to help develop you as a coach”

Some of the exciting presentations include:

Developing Power Hitting in Cricketers
Julien Wood, ECB batting specialist support coach

How to Deliver Constraints led Cricket Practice
Dr Will Vickery, Senior Lecturer in Sports Coaching at Northumbria University

Developing Resilience in Athletes
Dr Mustafa Sarkar, Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Nottingham Trent University

Working with Female Athletes
Nicola Wilson, Cricket Scotland Female Participation Manager

Delivering an Engaging Programme without Nets
Cricket Scotland Performance staff
