Scotland’s premier domestic tournament was drawn yesterday and has thrown up some interesting first round ties.
Defending champions Heriots will travel to Poloc, with the added incentive of knowing that a place in the cup final would essentially be a home tie, with the final being scheduled for Goldenacre for the first time in the tournaments history.
Last years losing finalists Watsonian travel to Calero Kelbourne and they will be joined by further teams crossing the M8 with Prestwick hosting Royal High Corstorphine and Carlton hosting Greenock.
Tie of the round looks like the north east derby, where Forfarshire will have to take a short trip up the A92 to face neighbours Arbroath United, whilst Drumpelier will have to head further north to take on Aberdeenshire at Mannofield. Gala will make the trip from the borders to face 2016 winners Clydesdale, whilst the 2018 champions Gen!us Grange host Meigle
