Bio

Kathryn Bryce is one of Scotland’s up and coming stars, making her debut in 2011, aged just 13. Bryce is a top-order batter and swing bowler who hails from George Watson’s College in Edinburgh where she was the first girl to play in the boys 1st XI.

Kathryn played for the Scotland U17s for 5 years, captaining this for 4. Her most notable performance during this time was 173* in an unbroken partnership of 336 with her sister Sarah. Kathryn was selected to be part of the ICC Associate Rookie Programme during the WBBL for the Melbourne Stars. Here she had the opportunity to train alongside some of best Australian internationalists, such as Meg Lanning.

In 2017 Bryce took over the mantle of vice-captain of the national team. She will quite often open the bowling and bat at 3 for the national squad in conjunction with being an excellent fielder.

Kathryn currently plays for Watsonian Cricket Club in Edinburgh, expect to hear her name again as she continues to impress. She is currently studying Sport and Exercise Science at Loughbourgh University having taken her gap year playing cricket in Australia for three months.

Aside from cricket, Kathryn was very involved in music at school gaining Grade 8 in both Violin and Clarinet, playing in multiple orchestras and singing in choirs.
