Peter Kingsbury

After graduating from York University with a degree in Computer Science and Maths, Peter trained as teacher, initially secondary maths and PE and latterly retraining as a primary teacher. He has been teaching at Pencaitland Primary School in East Lothian since 1998 having previously worked in schools in Yorkshire and Lancashire.

His cricketing career started at Darley Dale in the Derbyshire County League. After playing for several clubs in Yorkshire he joined Penicuik CC in 1997 where he is still an active playing member.

In 2012 he wrote CricketStats, an online results and statistics package which is now used throughout Scotland.

As well as his work as the ESCA treasurer, a post he has held since 2008, Peter is also an active member of his children’s school’s parent council.
