Willie Donald

Involved in Scottish cricket for over 50 years, Willie played for Aberdeenshire CC for 12 years including 4 years as captain and for Teddington CC in London from 1984 until 1994 winning the National Knockout (Cockspur Cup) twice and the Evening Standard trophy.

He represented the North District in Scotland, Surrey Cricket Association (amateur county select) in England, Scotland Under 21s, Scottish Universities, Scotland B, and won 58 caps for Scotland from 1978 until 1987.

After graduating in Mathematics from Aberdeen University, Willie worked in various senior executive positions in banking and financial services from 1978 until 2006 including Citibank, Scottish Widows, Bank of Scotland and Petercam SA (Brussels).

Willie founded an Executive Coaching and Organisational Development consultancy, Expico Consulting, winning and delivering consulting mandates in the oil and gas industry, the drinks industry, the British Army, professional services (law and accounting), national charities, and sporting bodies.

During 2015 Willie was Interim Chief Executive at Cricket Scotland delivering the ICC Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in Scotland, rebuilding the fundamental operating processes underpinning Cricket Scotland, and developing a new forward strategy in support of SportScotland funding.
