SPCU

About the League

The Strathmore & Perthshire Cricket Union offers organised, league cricket to a vast geographical area. From Bannockburn to Aberdeenshire, incorporating Perth, Dundee and Angus, the SPCU gives clubs a forum in which to play.

The SPCU has seven senior divisions, which play on Saturdays and Sundays. The North East Championship is the feeder league to the Cricket Scotland Eastern Premier League (EPL)

The SPCU N&E Championship is the top domestic league for the region and runs throughout the summer with 12 teams playing 45 over cricket home and away.

Promotion and Relegation

The top team at the end of the season plays off versus the champions of the ECSA league to earn a place in the Eastern Premier League.

The bottom two clubs will be relegated to the Second Division.

Promotion and relegation takes place throughout the remainder of the SPCU pyramid.
