The ICC has revealed the final group placings for the six teams who recently qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, to be held in Australia in October and November 2020.
Scotland has been placed in Group B, based in Hobart at Bellerive Oval, for the first-round group stage of the Men’s T20 World Cup alongside Bangladesh, Namibia and Netherlands. The group is made up of 1st place, 4th place and 5th place team from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, recently held in UAE. Bangladesh qualify due to ranking 10th at the cut-off date of 31 December 2018.
Group A features Ireland, Oman, Sri Lanka, and Papua New Guinea and is based in Geelong.
Two teams from each group progress to the Super 12s stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and join hosts Australia, Afghanistan, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and West Indies.
Monday 19th October: Netherlands vs. Scotland (7pm local, 09:00 UK)
Wednesday 21st October: Scotland vs. Namibia (2pm local, 04:00 UK)
Friday 23rd October: Bangladesh vs. Scotland (7pm local, 09:00 UK)
