We all know that quality coaching is fundamental to the development of our players, and the game, within Scotland. Therefore, Cricket Scotland is delighted to be able to confirm the details relating to this winter’s programme of Coaching Forums. The forums will provide a great opportunity for our coaches to continue their learning and development – and to meet up with other coaches who share a passion for helping players to develop.

We are also delighted to be able announce that Cricket Scotland’s High Performance Coaching Team will be leading the delivery of sessions within the forum programme. This will provide all attending coaches with a fantastic opportunity to learn from the very best coaches we have within the country – and coaches who are perfectly positioned to provide some high-level insight and excellent examples of best practice.

The focus of this year’s forums will be:

‘Engaging Our Players’ – how we can best connect with our people (players, parents, coaches) to retain, inspire and positively effect performance
‘Training To Win’ – ways of bringing the demands of competition to training, across all skill sets

The forums are comprised of two three-hour workshops and will run over two mid-week evenings or all day at a weekend. The dates, times and venues are as follows:

Central – 2nd and 9th November 2017, 6:30pm- 9:30pm at Forfarshire CC (DD5 3BE)
East – 25th October and 1st November 2017, 6pm-9pm at MES Sports Centre (EH4 3NT)
West – 21st October 2017, 10am- 5pm at Hutchesons’ Grammar School Sports Hall (G41 4NW)
