Congratulations to Grange who picked up the first silverware of the season with a win in the ECB Vitality U13 Scottish Cup.
Finals day was held at a hot and sunny Inverleith and the morning semi finals produced wins for Grange versus Perth Doo’cot and Glasgow Accies versus Gordonians.
Grange had looked very strong in the semi-final and posted a competitive 156/8 in the final with 31 from Twaddle and 28 from Hodge. Fahd and Maniyar picked up two wickets each for Glasgow Accies.
In the chase, Grange’s Sharma struck early and Glasgow Accies were unable to get any momentum reaching a total of 54. Cauchi contributed 12 and Mohammadi 12 whilst Sharma, Cowie and Welsh all picked up two wickets.
In the 3rd / 4th play off, Gordonians came out on top beating Perth Doo’cot.
Grange now qualify for the national tournament and will face the Northumberland regional winners at home on 2nd July.
