Scotland internationals Kathryn and Sarah Bryce will this summer feature for Lightning Cricket in the new Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy – a 50-over tournament staged in England for 2020 to ensure women’s cricket can be played despite the challenges of COVID-19.
Held over August and September, the competition features eight teams from across England – four from the North and four from the South.
Lightning Cricket is the East Midlands-based team in the new Women’s Elite Domestic Cricket Structure, brought into effect this season, and partners with Loughborough University, Derbyshire CCC, Leicestershire CCC, Nottinghamshire CCC and Lincolnshire.
