The Eastern Knights have once again been crowned Pro50 champions following Monday’s cancellation at Ayr in their scheduled match against the Western Warriors.

With the weather claiming three fixtures in this year’s calendar, the Knights gained 5 points from their four matches while the Highlanders found themselves just a point behind at the conclusion.

Winning captain George Munsey said, “I’m really pleased for the boys who have once again played some good cricket to win the Pro50. We are looking forward to the challenge in Holland next week to test our skills against good opposition.”

The Knights will now head to face the Southern Seafarers in the Pro Series 50 Final on 16 September.

Sunday will see the three teams come together for the final time this season with the T20 Blitz at Grange Cricket Club.

The Warriors and Highlanders each have 4 points apiece with a game against the Knights looming, while the hosts look to pick up their first wins of the competition.

The first game of the day is between the Knights and the Highlanders at 11am at Raeburn Place with the second game taking place at 3pm.
