Cricket Scotland, in conjunction with the ECB, will be running a Performance Coach Course in Scotland this spring/summer.

The course, which is the level above the ECB Level 2 Qualification, is designed to meet the needs of coaches working with the most talented young players in clubs or in the Cricket Scotland Performance Pathway.  It aims to develop and equip coaches with the knowledge, skills and thinking to work effectively within talented players environments.

Coaches can expect to explore and develop their coaching philosophy, develop a deeper understanding of cricket skills required to achieve high level performance and use techniques to help them better understand themselves as coaches and players they work with.

Coaches interested in attending the ECB performance coach course will be required to hold an existing Level 2 qualification or equivalent, have acquired some experience of working with talented young players, and demonstrate a willingness and open-mindedness to learn.

The programme is tutored by a variety of personnel with experience at both international and county level.

The course will be held on the following dates:

3rd – 6th of April at Mary Erskine School
30th May – 1st June at Forfarshire Cricket club
