The inspiresport BoysU18 Scottish Cup is a national T20 knockout competition and regarded as the premier schools cricket competition in the country.
It is played from April to June and this year’s finals day was held on Saturday 15th June at Merchiston in Edinburgh.
In the first semi final, Fettes came through with a 91 run win versus Stewarts Melville. The second semi-final proved to be a thriller with George Watsons’ College just getting over the line versus Strathallan in the final over with one ball to go.
In the final, Watsons set Fettes an impressive target of 141 and despite a spirited knock, they were not able to chase down the target and George Watsons’ College lifted the trophy for the 2nd time in three years.
