A T10 competition for all Secondary Schools

The 2019 Citylets S1-S3 regional winning schools played their semi-finals in the morning at Perth Doocot: Merchiston Castle School beating last year’s winners Dollar Academy and Robert Gordon’s College too strong for Hutchesons’ Grammar, to progress to the final.

Merchiston Castle were victorious and took the trophy for 2019.

Runners up were Robert Gordon’s and Dollar beat Hutcheson’s Grammar in the play off for 3rd place.

About the Secondary Schools Cups

The aims of the National Secondary Schools Cups for boys (S1-3) and girls (S1-6) are to provide secondary schools with a national competition for pupils, generate further interest in the game, provide a competitive outlet for school cricket teams and ultimately find the best school team in the country!

Once again the competition will work on a regional format leading to a National finals day taking place at the picturesque Doo’cot Park, Perth.

The competition users the T10 format and is set up with qualifying fixtures resulting in four boys teams and four girls teams qualifying for the National Finals Day.

The finals day includes two semi-finals, third place play-off and the National Final.

Your local Cricket Development Officer will co-ordinate the competition in your area and, where possible, they will encourage your local cricket club to support you.
