A left-arm spinner and handy batsman was appointed as Scotland’s vice-captain in March 2017 after establishing himself in the squad.

Con de Lange was a late-comer into the Scotland set-up after a long an illustrious career in South African domestic cricket with Cape Cobras, Eagles, Free State. He spent a period with county side Northamptonshire, which saw him later move to Scotland, where he is now become a resident.

He made his Scotland debut in the 2015 Intercontinental match against Afghanistan in Stirling. He was also part of the XI that saw Scotland claim their first win at a global event against Hong Kong in the 2016 ICC World T20 in India.
