Laura was born in Aberdeen and raised in Drumblade near Huntly where she went to the local school in Drumblade,  then on to The Gordon Schools Huntly (secondary) from the age of 12 where she is entering her final year at school.

She was introduced to cricket following a taster session at her primary school, where she fell in love with it. After impressing she was asked by the coach (Neil Nicol) to join the local club in Huntly (HJCC) at the age of 9.

She was selected to train with the U17 women’s cricket team at the very young age of 13,  playing her first game against Cumbria in a winning cause. Since then she has gone on to captain the Scottish U17s Women’s team for the  2017 & 2018 seasons, in which they remained unbeaten in 2018!

Her first call up to the national team came in the Netherlands, July 2018 after playing a few county games for the Wildcats during the summer.

Other than cricket, she loves competing in a number of sports which include Hockey, Volleyball, Swimming, Cross Country Running. During her younger years she was a very keen swimmer, competing in a number of district events and still hold several club records to date.
