The Scotland Men’s U19 squad has been confirmed today for the forthcoming World Cup Europe Qualifier, running from August 4-13 in the Netherlands.
The squad will travel to the Netherlands on Friday August 4, and play five matches as part of a single group format. The nation topping the group at the end of the match cycle will qualify for the 2024 ICC Men’s U19 World Cup, scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka next year.
Scotland have competed at the last two Men’s U19 World Cups, in 2020 in South Africa and 2022 in West Indies. Players that featured in both of these tournaments have since gone on to earn full international caps for Scotland.

Dan Sutton, Scotland Men’s U19 Head Coach, said:
“We’re eagerly anticipating the upcoming Qualifiers, and I have immense pride in the dedication and hard work the boys have put in over the winter months.
“The preparation has been comprehensive, with several warm-up games providing an opportunity for the coaching staff and me to watch the boys in a competitive environment. I believe we have an exciting squad with high levels of experience, as most players regularly play first team cricket for their respective clubs.
“Nonetheless, we acknowledge the pressures that come with tournament play, especially as we go into the competition as favourites. It’s crucial for us to stay focused, enjoy the challenges, and remain calm under pressure. We’ll take each game as it comes and enjoy the process.”
